Clear gold with an orange tint. Four fingers of cream color head that lasts about ten minutes. Rings of lace left as the level drops.
The smell is citrus and sweet.
The taste is blood orange grapefruit and a fair amount of bitterness from the hops.
Mouthfeel is medium and well carbonated. The finish is balanced ending dry and mildly bitter.
Overall a pleasant and tasty flavored DIPA.

Attractive clear amber brew with sticky foam in the narrow-waisted tall glass. Very fragrant with orange and citrus mix. Sudsy in the mouth and a little sticky. Very acidic and stunningly bitter after a few sips.
I don't think I've had a beer more distinctly flavored with grapefruit. It starts out sweet with bitter orange marmalade. Quite a bitter finish and then the grapefruit pith long into the aftertaste. From the 500 ml bottle purchased at Platypus in Bend.
