Look: Crystal clear bright but darker yellow with a quick-forming white head that rises and rapidly settles to a lid, leaving minimal lacing behind
Aroma: Peaches, raspberries, gooseberries, orange marmalade, original bubble gum, wafts of fresh cedar wood, strawberries, and light bready malt
Taste: Opens up with a boatload of mixed berries with everything from rasp and straw to goose, Boysen, and thimble that develop depth and intermingle before fresh cut cedar makes an entrance. Cedar is the star for a moment and joined by wafts of citrus, all while the malt stays out of the way and closes with cedar, berries, and a nice bite
Mouthfeel: Full but light, clean, medium-high carbonation, and clean on the finish with light dryness
Overall: This is some really good stuff. I love these folks and Cold IPAs so an easy pick up on this and it doesn’t disappoint. A huge berry presence throughout, which I often find in the style, and the cedar note is interesting and works well in it in my opinion. Super clean and a lightly dry finish help round out this gem. I only grabbed a single but will definitely be scoring a 4pk of this soon. Recommended
