Taster at brewery. Medium, rich golden color, small airy head. Big fruity aroma and taste. Wheat base makes this super smooth, berries add nice touch.

my first beer from these guys, its excellent. usually these fruited wheats dont do much for me, they always seem overly fruited, sweet, somewhat inauthentic with the fruit too, but this one remains light and delicate and dry, and the huckleberry flavor is really natural and true to the fruit, not overdosed, and overall just a perfect warm weather refresher, i enjoyed this a whole lot. a few things about it really stand out that make it a model example of the style. the first is the wheat character is flavorful without being heavy, this drinks like a light beer even though the contribution of the grain is obvious. second, the fruit is of course a little sweet, but so are huckleberries, and some sugar is probably needed to retain their flavor, but they are natural to me in this, and in balance, somehow delicate for being the main flavor agent. third, the texture is incredible, effervescent carbonation, a drying finish, and a spritzy summery light body and high energy, its magically refreshing when its ice cold, and it warms up pretty favorably too. this is a really tasty brew, makes me feel like summer, and stands above a lot of its peers as an example of quality in a style that i feel like is trending toward tasting cheap and even gimmicky. really good stuff to kick off the season!
