Naked Brewing Co. "Le Pètomane Aigre Canon"
on tap at the brewery on 14 April 2018
Notes: "A barrel-soureed version of Le Pètomane saison. Limited release. 6.3%" Slightly hazy deep gold body beneath a quick fading short head of white - common with sour beers. The aroma displays some earth and wood and light funk. The flavor follows. It's tart, not puckering but definitely noticeable, and it's fruity over a slightly sweetish, golden/grainy maltiness. There's lots going on within the tartness, the fruitiness, and the funk. It finishes dry, acidic, and mildly earthy, oaky, and peppery. In the mouth it's medium-light in body and gently crisp. Overall it's quite nice, one of their best beers. Well worth trying if it's still available.
