"Tata Rosa Raspberry Berliner Weiss." On-draught @ the brewery. Brief impressions live on a phone:
A: No head or lacing, just a white floater that dies inside 20 seconds. Body is a cloudy nontransparent weak peach-pink redolent of lemonade. No yeast is visible within.
Appears undercarbonated.
Sm: Artificial raspberry flavouring, raspberry puree/syrup, and lactic acid. It's tart, but there's no sourness at all, nor us there any bacterial character.
Suggests an extract-y mess of an attempt at a Berliner Weiss.
T/Mf: Basically a fruit beer, with no Lactobacillus sourness at all. Acidic, light-bodied, smooth, wet, and refreshing. It's basically just Pilsner malts and raspberry puree. Poorly built but not imbalanced. I don't dislike it per se, but it's a failure at its intended style.
Poor depth of flavour.
O: A lackluster weak attempt at a sour style, but luckily not in infected mess or an undrinkably syrupy brew. I wouldn't get it again, and its well below average, but I've had worse.
