Named in honor of Elkhart, Indiana’s history in manufacturing brass band instruments.
Described by the brewery as "Think wit flavors without the wheat! Light hints of orange, corriander and chamomile pair nicely with citrusy Amarillo hops. Great for summer sipping! ABV 5.7% IBU: 24"
Slight grain aroma.
Pours a very pretty dark gold/light amber, almost orange with a small white head that leaves belgian lace.
Very crisp flavor. Nicely bitter from a a healthy amount of lingering hops. Some piney-spruce notes. Lots of grain, reminds me of my favorite brand of whole wheat matzah bread. Some nice coppery notes. Very dry.
Full and well carbonated mouthfeel.
This beer is very good. It reminds me of a very well-balanced American Pale Ale, but one that is a little richer on the malt and mouthfeel. Very sessionable thanks to not going overboard on either hops or sweetness.
