Dark, syrupy, roasty, and full bodied. Fig, raisin, molasses, leather taste and nose. This held up so well for 150+ years it was tempting to rate a 5. If you're a strong ale fan, this is a dream. Thanks James!

This bottle was from 1869, and re-corked and waxed in the 1970s! What a remarkable beer to get to try, and while it wasn't great it was incredible how well it held up!
