From a 568ml can packaged on 27 Feb. 2026, so it's pretty fresh. Poured into a pint glass. A three finger fine white head on a cloudy light apricot. Excellent head retention. A layer sticks around to the end. Sheets of fine lacing.
A strong aroma of citrus, dominated by grapefruit. The taste is tropical fruit, again dominated, although less that the aroma, by grapefruit, some pine and citrus pith. A mildly bitter hop finish.
Medium body and carbonation. Overall a solid Hazy IPA.

Stovepipe from the LCBO; dated May 8 2025 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a hazy golden amber colour, spawning two fingers of thick, creamy off white-coloured suds that fall back slowly. A little over five minutes later, I'm left with a tight collar and a soapy cap, with a full coat of lace around the perimeter - looks fantastic. Grapefruit and piney, earthy, slightly spicy hops on the nose; hints of lightly caramelized malts, melon and stone fruit also come through, as does a light whiff of ethanol.
It does display a fruity, tropical juice-like quality at times, but that angle is encumbered by the brew's West Coast-like facets. I'm tasting grapefruit, orange and berries, with lightly caramelized malts, toasted bread and passion fruit developing by mid-sip. Stone fruit, grapefruit pith and melon on the back end, clashing with earthy, piney hops and some resiny bitterness; berries and stone fruit dissipate into a slightly warming aftertaste. On the fuller side of medium-bodied, with low-ish carbonation and a smooth, pillowy mouthfeel that I found satisfying. Not super-drinkable, but finishing this can is no problem.
Final Grade: 3.84, a B+. Gimme Gimme is a hazy IPA, of that there's no doubt - but I actually felt like this drank more like a strong West Coast IPA, and not so much like a New England IPA. It's not too bitter, I'll give it that, but the Chinook, Simcoe and Amarillo hops manage to impart plenty of floral, earthy, resiny flavours that make pigeonholing this IPA a challenging proposition. Roughly on par with their Alpha Bomb - certainly no worse, and maybe a little bit better. I'll try this again if I stumble upon a fresh flat, and I'd encourage other hopheads to give it a shot, as well.

568 ml can served cold into a pint glass. Canned May 8, 2025. LCBO purchase.
Appearance - Hazy rich golden brew with some orange highlights. A finger of long lived frothy white head is poured and with good staying power. Some spiderweb lacing clings to the glass.
Smell - Tropical medley with orange, pineapple, mango and a pinch of grapefruit. Sweeter than expected as if one of the fruits is candied.
Taste - Quite sweet and juicy, orange and mango are prominent with grapefruit coming in the back end. Starts very sweet and transitions with some bittering coming in later.
Mouthfeel - Smooth and juicy, medium-high carbonation with some astringency on the tip of the tongue.
Overall - Solid IPA offering from Big Rig, one of the better ones I've tried from them and certainly a full fledged Juicy IPA.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 568mL (stein size; 20oz.) in a pint glass. From my favourite LCBO at Tecumseh Mall in nearby Windsor. My third beer from the Kanata, Ontario brewery, and second for 2025...
