1.

Tastes as if it was fermented at an "extremely high" temperature.

Or

A bacteria infected the batch.

2.

Overly carbonated.

3.

Can not tell if hops was used at all.

4.

Tastes like a coca cola that sat out over night.

Conclusion:

1. Worst beer ever tasted.

2. Give me a Pabst or a Budweiser anytime over this beer.

3. Brewmaster of Hillcrest Brewing Company currently is the worst
brewmaster in San Diego right now. No brewmaster in San Diego would ever put out an overly heated, or an infected, overly carbonated beer on the market.

4. Crotch Rocket ends up being a big joke and a disapointment.

Pours a handsome coppery red in the globe. Some nice lacing to start, but the foam evaporates quickly. An odd smell, like warm electronics. More than a hint of plastic from the first taste. An earthy note, and something like malt and fruit juice, with a touch of butter. Ends with a very light bitter twang like blackberry seeds.

I don't think this will win too many friends, but it would be the ideal gift for Father's Day-- well, OK, the bachelor party. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Liticker's Liquor & Deli in Ocean Beach.
