Two-Headed Boy is a refreshing, unadulterated German-style pilsner. Crisp and clean with a subtle, honeyed malt flavor and a hint of noble hops. Good for shotgunning, sipping from the can, or pouring into a glass. You’ll wish you had a second head in order to drink this beer twice as fast!

Poured clear golden from the can with two fingers of pearl white foam. Honeyed malt, biscuit and grassy hop nose. Taste is malt heavy, biscuit there too, but hops and yeast are faint. Feel is thinner but not watery, simple malts lead but actually pretty crisp and dries out by the finish. Solid but it did pair great with pomes dauphin!

Bought a 4-pack on a visit to District Brew Yards and put this Boy to the test quickly at home because I also purchased two bottles of Lillie's BBQ sauce (also at DBY.) Boy had a calming effect on my mouth while eating veggie burgers with the hot BBQ sauces slathered all over them. Boy did his job.
I'd have to say Boy has Looks and Smells that are average. Tastes are well-balanced, not too hopped-up as pils often are. Actually it was soft in my mouth, which is what I needed after Lillie had been there.
Only my second from Burnt City, I owe them a micro-review. I'm glad that they (started as Atlas Brewing) found a second life at DBY and it indicates one important purpose of DBY: to stabilize talented brewers so their business can stay alive and create. Atlas and Burnt City are ten years old; they should have a more developed website... it will help them mature into a permanent business.
10/30/22 Drank a second can under less challenging culinary circumstances. (I was snacking.) But I noticed that this pils becomes sweeter as it warms.

An unfiltered pilsner: "subtle honeyed malt flavor with a hint of noble hops"
16oz undated can pours a golden yellow body with active bubbles rising to a proud 2" head of fluffy white foam.
Biscuity aroma flows into an almost spicy flavor with an almost soft feel.
Overall, it's fine. Nothing special.
