12oz pour into a snifter, consumed at IG for the sum of $4.50. This is a recipe created by Sherrece, an Iron Goat bartender/server (IG is allowing employees not normally involved on the brewing side of things come up with small batch recipes). This is a brewed with a French Saison yeast and brewed with some sort of simple syrup that starts with an "F" that is apparently a part of the cocktail world.
Poured into a snifter, this was an opaque, hazy, honeyish color, with a bone-white head that dropped fairly quickly yet left lots of streaky, spotty lace.
Spicy, earthy, and a bit "bubble gummy" in the nose, along with banana-y cloves. There's something I can't quite put my finger on that has a floral character as well.
Taste follows aroma. There's a lot going on here. Sweet, tart, refreshing all pretty much hits the taste buds at once. The finish is surprisingly dry for all that went before it, but not in a jarring way.
Fairly light bodied, with a lightly creamy yet effervescent mouthfeel.
I love this beer. At under 6%, it's somewhat at the lower end of the spectrum of Saison strength, but I think that just ups it's drinkability. I really hope this gets brewed again. Well done, Sherrece!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
