Look : One finger white head, hazy orange-yellow body.

Smell : Pilsner malts, apple, pear, some honey, a little bit of spicieness from the saaz hops.

Taste : Same as above, but with a slight grainy finish.

Feel : Medium carbonation and body, slightly warming alcohol, dry.

Pours thin and golden. Very thin white head which fades fast.

Nose is malty, vaguely sweet and bready; overall quite pleasant.

Taste comes with a bit of a bite but the alcohol is well masked. Tastes slighty sweet but does not hold up to the nose; much more bitter than anything else. Body does not stand up to the nose either - not at all full bodied. Aftertaste is pleasant, almost citrus.

Overall, not what I want out of a Tripel.

Had in a tulip glass at Silver City's restaurant. The body is a clear golden yellow with a white finger head. The aroma consists of pear, apple, mild spices, and slight candi sugars. The flavors are the same as the nose. The mouthfeel is creamy and smooth, with medium carbonation.

Clear golden brew with a nice pile of foam in the tall Blanche de Chambly glass. The suds froth up nicely with each sip. Deep aroma of fruity stuff with that funky note.

This strikes a nice balance between the sharp fruit and that mellow malty sweetness. Quite a dry finish, maybe more agressively yeasty than a Tripel needs. But it's a delicious beer for sipping, with that hot pineapple and banana taste that starts every mouthful.

From the 22 oz bottle purchased at 99 Bottles in Federal Way for a modest seven bucks.

Poured into a Gulden Draak tulip. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a half finger white head with good retention and great lacing. Classic tripel aroma of bready malt, Belgian yeast, coriander and clove, lightly estery. Flavor follows, with rich malt, clove and Belgian spicing, nice fruit esters. Medium bodied with a moderately thick mouth feel. A well made domestic version of the tripel style, hitting all the traditional flavor notes. Perhaps a bit strong on the spicing, but not outside the range of Belgian tripels. A typically nicely brewed ale from Silver City.

22oz bottle at 41 F poured into a pair of snifters. No bottle code. Drank and took notes a day or two ago, entering the review now.

Pours clear, golden, with fine slow carbonation and almost no head. Smell is bananas and cloves, yeasty and bready.

Taste is extremely sweet, syrupy, lots of bananas. Not as much clove in the flavor as in the aroma, but some spice. Slight lemon or lemon rind bitterness.

Mouthfeel is thick and sticky. Overall, it's a pretty good beer.
