16oz can served in a stemless angular wineglass. Dated 08/20/2021.
Pours a rich brown amber with a small head and medium to low carbonation. Smell is caramel and nuts and a little booze, grain character is almost lost in the booze and sweetness.
Taste is...better than I expected from the aroma. Sweet and boozy, yes, but very grainy, some toast and biscuit and light toffee and nuts.
Mouthfeel is not quite thick and heavy, but approaching it. Overall, it's pretty decent. If it wasn't for the booziness, I think I could drink a lot of this.

Poured in a Pint Defiance Tulip. The body is a clear dark reddish orange, with a finger white head. Aromas consist of caramel, toffee, baking spices, and bready/cake-like malt. Flavors are the same, it tastes like Silver City's normal Oktoberfest, but the flavors are richer and stronger in their intensity. The beer is somewhat dry. The feel is medium bodied with high carbonation. The 8% abv is not very apparent.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium to dark coppery amber with a half finger off-white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, toffee, light grassy hops, rich. Flavor follows, with biscuit malt, light caramel notes, apple juice and some light fruit esters, finishes with biscuit and lingering German hop bitterness. Medium bodied with light creaminess and good carbonation. This really delivers exactly what it promises; all the typical Oktoberfest flavors are here, with authentic malt and hops, but everything is amped up, rich biscuit malt, a bit more toffee than normal, and hoppier than a traditional fest beer, although still within reason. Despite the flavors being intensified, nicely balanced and remarkably true to style. This just might spoil traditional fest beers for me now; this is really flavorful. Nicely done and unusual. Silver City is pulling out the stops for their anniversary.
