Pretty pour. Slightly hazy, color of amber maple syrup. Light tan, thick head. Mild aroma. First sip is bitter, which then relaxes and then brings out the tasty malt. Slightly sweet, very smooth taste and feel. Let the beer sit for a bit to come to cellar temps and enjoy having the taste unfold in the process. ABV is 6%, which is at the higher end of the ESB range, but still very drinkable.

ESB my left buttocks. This was an IPA. Didn't want another flipping IPA.

At this point we’re all familiar (and fond) of “holiday/winter/fall” ales that are usually malt and spice heavy IPAs. It’s interesting to try one that’s an ESB, but I’m very too unfamiliar with the style to perceive any differences beyond the norm.
I will say that it is balanced quite nicely, with plenty of sweet caramel malt and citrusy, piney hops. Simple and quite drinkable.

Brewed with all Cascade hops. Pours a dark coppery color with plenty of foam in the Orval chalice. Tangy and sudsy on the tongue. Quite malty but just barely sweet. Hops are spicy and herbal with a dark edge. Flavors of dark malt, green melon, and pine with a pleasant musty note. This is my favorite "fresh hop" brew for 2022. Not being an actual IPA seems to encourage some restraint. It's hoppy and bold but highly drinkable. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 08/29/2022.

L: Slightly hazy copper body with a large white head. Great retention.
S: Floral hops, caramel/toffee
T: Fresh, floral hops balanced by a caramel malt backbone. Notes of toffee and sweet bread. Leaning more malty than hoppy. The flavors meld nicely.
F: Medium bodied, smooth
O: Excellent beer. No gimmicks, just a solid brew.
