Bainbridge Brewing's 7th Anniversary beer is a whiskey barrel aged stout, with bourbon barrels from Woodinville Whiskey. I should say BOURBON barrels, because BOURBON is really dominant in this beer. That's a good thing, not a bad thing. The underlying beer is a typical stout, maybe a bit lighter in body and roastiness than usual. The bourbon really jumps out in the aroma and in the taste. It almost seems like there is a little maple in the flavor as well. I know Woodinville Whiskey does maple syrup that is bourbon barrel aged. Maybe the barrels got swapped out for Bainbridge Brewing?
Whatever, it's a distinctive beer, and a lot of fun to drink. 16 ounce cans, if you can find them. I should have bought more.
