This was one of the best HefeWeizens I had on my recent Deutschland sojourn. Poured into a big Hefe- glass, it emitted a lovely cloudy, dark golden color. A big, frothy head shriveled down somewhat, but stuck around for the duration, leaving great lacing! The nose was heaven: a strong clove-banana combo that you didn't have to go looking for. The body was a sliver above medium, and the bier had the typical Hefe- type carbonation-induced roughness on the tongue. Lots more banana-clove flavors, combining with a nice yeast touch, and a hint of toffee. A verry typical, and extremely well-made Hefe- with full Bavarian flavor. Prosit!!
