Poured a deep purple color, no visible light is coming through
Aroma, fairly tart and woody, with a lot of sweet berries, currants
Taste, this is the best part. This reminds me of a raspberry bu that DeGarde did. Fairly tart with a lot of earthy/oak flavor. Lots of blackberry bittersweetness coming through, and very refreshing. The fruit does not taste artificial at all, like what i experience with a lot of fruited sours. Extremely crushable.

Overall, this is a great beer. I really like what union is doing with the sour/barrel aged beer aspect of their beer program.

 

Awesome cloudy purple color, smell is light sweet berry and salty. Taste is light tart, salty, and fruity blackberry. Not much wine barrel but an awesome fruited gose

 

Glorious opaque purple berry color, subtle REAL fruit and oak aroma. Flavor is a fine balance of the base beer and smart additions. I love the berry sweetness that only pops it's head up from time to time. Sipping because my ration is limited, but it's begging me to drink it!

An awesome darker purple, opaque and difficult to see through. Berries for days, aromas of jam and sour grapes. Taste follows up on the nose as the blackberry flavor expands around the palate the tartness keeps everything in check while the salinity wraps everything in a warm winter jacket. Must try.
