Look: Clear orange-straw color. Firm head on the pour that slowly reduced to to a thin skiff across the glass. A mix of small and medium sized bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass.
Smell: Sour yeast with a little citrus fruit. Swirling the glass kicked up a bit of light malt to go with the yeast.
Taste: A mix of tart and slight sweetness. Strongest flavors were a pale malt with some funkiness. Some bitters hung around in the aftertaste.
Feel: Very creamy foam slowly builds while tingling the tongue a bit. It took a bit for the foam to evolve to larger bubbles. Left my tongue stinging a bit while the bitters faded in the aftertaste.
Overall: Not as clean or light as many (most?) saisons. The extra flavor was still very nice. May not be the best beer for a hot day.
