Hogshead Denver Pride nonic pour from sparkler 12 Mar 2026 at the brewery.. perfect head, but no lace; clear gold amber… nose: rose water, dried apple, caramel wafer… similar on palate with a more expressive butterscotch note, grassy subtly bitter aftertaste with the flan lingering… interesting melange of subtleties; i can see why its popular.. know what? It tastes a little like old-recipe Fat Tire, just with more pronounced hop expression; rather doughy yeasty as it goes hmm (2515)

these notes were taken as I was drinking it the other day... this strikes me more as an American version of a bitter, as far as its hop character and flavor personality

Had on cask. Clear orangey brown body, full cream head, thick lacing. Toasty malts support grassy and herbal hops in the nose. Taste is way more bitter, hops run this with slight citrus added. Feel is well hopped to the point of sharpness, yet lush warm malts are a great counter. Closer to a pale ale than a bitter, but certainly has influences of both

Large bubbled head that diminishes completely. Naturally, there's no lace. The color of the liquid is darker, dirty gold and crystal clear.

The aroma is a very good blend of pale malt base with a touch of banana and berry sweetness. There's a spiciness in the form of white pepper.

The flavor is predominantly bitter, more so than an English Bitter. The can I received called this a Session IPA. I can see both names applying well here. The body leans weak with a slightly elevated carbonation. The malt is roasted to a toasted bread flavor. This fades but never dissipates completely. A black pepper bitterness takes over and dominates the finish leaving a long aftertaste.

Pours a translucent copper with two fingers of dense, white foam. Aroma is bready, biscuity, wafery malts with spry grassy, herbal hops. Flavor profile is bready, biscuity, wafery malts with grassy, herbaly, resiny hops. Pleasantly dry at the end. Mouth feel is medium-thin with a crushed velvet, soft effervescent texture. Overall, lovely little brew with some hops out front, but malts as the focal point.

Draft. Cask.
