750ml bottle split between a pair of snifters. "Batch Number" box is empty; no dates I can see. My wife brought this home from Chicago in her suitcase today.
Pours very dark brown with a medium head and moderate carbonation. Smell is rich, interesting, sweet, and I have trouble picking out anything specific from it. Yeasty and dark fruits.
Taste is sweet. Very sweet. Plummy. Something odd about it, too -- a dirty dishwater flavor, maybe. Some kind of strong flavor that doesn't please me and is hard to describe. Maybe it's the peppermint manifesting unclearly.
Mouthfeel is a little oily. Overall, strange, not bad beer. Hard to describe -- kind of a muddy beer.
