Had this at the 2019 Minnesota State Fair. Literally had a slice if bacon in the glass. Yum!

a really radical beer, a smoked brown ale with maple syrup, really uniquely flavored, and while it might not be all that great, i really like the flavors here, and the boldness of the ingredients, its not subtle, and i appreciate that, especially when it comes to maple syrup! flat and a little murky looking, but who cares, the aroma and flavor here are cool. tons of smoke up front, almost rauchbier levels, with a light cocoa note from the chocolate malt in the base, and the sweet maple syrup, which is as aromatic as it is flavorful in this one, really enticing and rich. its cool that the smoke is as intense as it is, and even if its overdone, i like it being forward so much. the beer is earthy and autumnal and intense. a little acrid and bitter for a second from the smoke in the middle, and definitely a bit in in body for the flavors, but the desserty maple syrup covers it up pretty quickly and makes it seem a little richer. from a quality standpoint, this is only average, but the flavors are great. is weird, i seem to only ever see highly flavored beers from these guys, is that all they do? i enjoyed this one, but its definitely not for everyone!
