Riprap Peanut Butter Cup Stout is made with enough peanut butter cups to protect any shoreline. Each batch begins with our traditional stout recipe, then infused with milk chocolate peanut butter cups. The result is a familiar aroma and a touch of sweetness on the front end, finishing with the smoothness of a perfectly roasted stout.

12oz bottle, no date (the shame...)
Almost blinded me opening this one.. simply started to pry open with my nearest utencil (a Bic lighter), and I was almost immediately greeted by a shotgun blast sending the cap up into the ceiling and back down neatly in front of me next to the glass. The beer, instead of geysering, was creepily still. O.K. - storytime's over
Black. Smells like PB cups, to the tee. Very over-carbonated, especially for the style - I can barely take a sip without burping. It's sweet and dark, but very little of the PB cup translates from the nose.
Simply doesn't drink well. If this was about the scent, it would be in my top-10. As it stands it almost took my eye out, so me and this beer are enemies

12-oz bottle into porter/stout glass
A - 3 fingers medium/dark tan over a body of pitch black; some flecks of suspended sediment (look like little bits of peanut butter)
S - sweet peanut butter and roasted peanuts
T - big peanut butter presence; chocolate is present, but subdued
M - thick medium body, medium carbonation
O - not terrible, but I've had better peanut butter cup stouts

12oz bottle. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small light brown head. It smelled of peanut butter, chocolate and creaminess. Sweet peanut butter and chocolate taste with a very subtle bitterness. A fine dessert beer.

Pours a deep dark cola brown with ruby tints if held to the light. Thick tan cap falls away rapidly to a thin ring leaving minimal lacing. Aroma is peanuts and dark roasted malt. Flavor has a slight acidic feel up front but that quickly turns slightly sweet with the peanut butter becoming prominent. The dark roasted malt comes through in the finish. Feel is rather thin bodied with plenty of carbonation. Overall just an okay beer.
