First off, this is the second bottle I try to open, the first just flew out of the bottle and I didn’t get to taste anything. This time I opened the bottle up slowly and released the pressure, and believe me there was excessive pressure in this bottle, I still had enormous amounts of overspill just from lifting the bottle cap. I do believe this batch is ruined but let’s see…
It pours out with a thick creamy head and is very billowy, the head sticks to the glass and creates a nice lacing around the beer, I think this head would make a pillow than most down would. The beer itself is a nice dark brown color and very hazy. You do get nice golden hues toward the outer edges of the beer.
The aroma is rather bland, mild malts and herbal spices but not much else.
The taste is pretty good, bitter from the moment it hits your tongue, the spices come out more as it hits the side of your mouth. There is a strong sour taste that just overpowers any other flavors that might be present in the beer. I did call the store I bought this from and I did contact the brewery, I’ll let you all know what happens.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
