Spices, not backed up by the hop character I was expecting with IPA in the name. Kind of like a suped up blue moon.

Pours hazy pale yellow. Thick, medium, white head. Good lacing.
Smells clove, yeast, hints of funk, light grassiness, hints citrus hops and light lemon
Tastes spices, light bready malt. Sweet clove and light lemon. Finish is dry with a citrus peel linger. Medium body and smooth, creamy medium carbonation.

At the brewery, into a willi becher. Pours a modestly cloudy pale goldenrod with minimal head and spotty lacing. Not much of a nose...little coriander and grapefruit zest. Taste and feel are very nice, though. Lots of yeasty notes, coriander, some citrus in the middle that moves toward bitter dry rind at the end. Not bad at all.

Badger hill has been turning out some solid beers. This one is no different. Really nice balance of citrus floral hops that balance out a solid malt backbone. Well played. Reminded me of Deschutes chainbreaker.

It tastes like summer sausage, & that zestiness makes it excellent!
