12oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of citrus, floral notes and sweet caramel. Nice citrusy flavor with a subtle bitterness and toasted caramel backbone.

On tap at Canterbury Downs racetrack in Shakopee Minnesota where the brewery is located. Pours a clear yellow color with no head at all. Nice fresh citrusy aroma, the flavor is the same with a nice hop bite to it. The feel is great, clean and crisp and goes down easy. Overall a nice beer.

Poured at the brewery, so fresh

Look: Pours a clear, yellow golden color, plenty of carbonation popping up, but little head.

Smell: One need not worry about a Midwest malt bomb of a pale, as Hop Hill's nose showcases citrus, and some tropical fruit. There is a bit of the malt in the nose, but it's in the back seat.

Taste: Some of the pineapple and tropical flavors pop up, citrus, and then a breadlines kicks in.

Feel: Lighter bodied, somewhat spritzy, and a little watery. A slight bitterness greets you in the finish.

Overall: This is a nice pale ale, but nothing to geek out and hunt down. If you see this on tap, or at your local shop, give it a shot.
