A bit hazy golden color with white head. Aroma has nice floral and grassy yeast esters, also a bit spicy. Taste follows with spicy yeast notes and light banana esters. Medium body and carbonation. Not as light as expected for the style but overall it's a well made Belgian ale.

The Aroma is great, but it loses quite a bit once it hits the tongue.
The Belgian character is always present.
And props to Camba for the very informative Label.

Easy drinker, but a boarders on a kristalweisse, without much flavour or depth.

Day 7 of the Advent Beer calendar.
Now we're talkin'!!
Belgian style yeast aroma, with banana esters and cookies.
Pale yellow with not much head, but nicely balanced with hops.
I don't think I've ever had a grisette before; this makes me wish for another one, to compare.
I can hardly believe that a different one would be better, though.

330ml bottle, day 7 of the 2017 Craft BeerAdvent Calendar. Ah, now into the esoteric styles we go.

This beer pours a slightly hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat chunky bone-white head, which leaves some random spattered lace around the glass as it quickly sinks out of sight.

It smells of gritty and grainy pale malt, a lesser edgy wheatiness, estery Belgian yeast, faint coriander/black pepper spice, some muddled pome/citrus fruitiness, and tame earthy, musty, and grassy green hop bitters. The taste is bready and grainy cereal malt, wet wheat crackers, sugary apple, a still hard to discern earthy spiciness, gently phenolic yeast, and more well understated herbal, floral, and wet hay-like verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is quite active in its palate-challenging frothiness, the body a so-so medium weight, and generally smooth, nothing in particular getting in the way of that metric here. It finishes off-dry, the mixed malt and fruity notes the order of the lingering day.

Overall - I still really don't know what the difference between a Grisette and a Saison is, since they seem to have the same characteristics, just tweaked a bit based on who's brewing it. This one is a lot more sweet (malt and fruit) than your typical Saison, and is actually nice and refreshing, especially when you stop thinking so hard about it.

Lemon gold with a light haze, moderate carbonation and 3 fingers of well sustained, yellowish head.

Smells of Belgian yeasts, phenols, coriander, funk and grapefruit pith.

Tastes the same as the nose, ending in phenols and a light, clingy bitterness.

Light body, moderate carbonation. Refreshing.

Got in Chiang Mai where I am drinking it Oct 5th, 2017. Light, refreshing, and not overly complex for the style.
