This dark amber beer comes with a small but fairly durable head that leaves a little splotchy lacing. Very good clarity.
The flavor profile is a bit unusual for style, probably due to the use of "domestic Perle hops", but I found only a little harm in this. Nice, fruity aroma with hints of dates.
Medium body with good, medium carbonation. Smooth.
O: Interesting version of this style.

Mahogony in color. Decent lacing with an off-white head. Definite malty dominance with a toasty malt nose that translated into the flavor quite nicely. Caramel sweetness shows up at the end and finishes with a peppery zip that lasted. Decent mouthfeel and drinkability. My #2 beer from PBC.

A dark amber brew with a nice off-white head a good lacing, the Dopple Boch (sic) is very rich a creamy beer with a good alcohol bite. The malting is obvious in the aroma and the flavor with nice warming coming from the higher ABV in this brew. Quite bitey in feel there is a bit of strong spice sense deep under the malt base. Nicely drinkable.
