Pours a nice golden color with a foamy head that stays for a little bit. Aroma is malt and sweet jam berries. Taste is bitter hops and berries with a somewhat creamy mouthfeel with a medium body. 32 IBUs Rated 8-19-2023

Not really sure what type of jam that the brewers of pFriem are used to, but they will be astounded to learn the the jams of the rest of the world has sugar.
And that's because their Jammy Pale pours a rather racy, zesty and sprite appearance with pale gold and mild haze. As the fruity scent of citrus, herb, tropical and berry waft in a hoppy perfume, its taste is anything but jammy. A dry malt profile is suggestive of granola with nuttiness, toastiness and a hint of caramel.
As the brisk carbonation pulls the scant malts from the tongue, the hops swirl about the middle palate with classic underpinnings of white grapefruit, orange zest and a hint of dried pineapple. As hints of lemon and peach ebb and flow along the tastebuds, its nearly berry-like tanginess steps in as the bitterness brings a balancing taste of verbena, white tea and fresh cut herb.
Medium bodied and trending dry, the session is anything but jammy. It finishes crisp, clean and refreshing with a quick aftertaste of herbal bitterness and a dry fruit profile.

Canned 7/28/23
This is something a bit different for pFriem I feel. Making a “jammy” Pale Ale with berry notes seems like an odd concept, but I’m all about it. It sounds like a super interesting take on an APA and I trust that they can make it work. Let’s crack it open and find out
Pours a clear pale gold with 3 fingers of rocky off white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose is a tad subtle, but delivers very well on the promise of being jammy. I’m picking up on aromas of juicy strawberry, jammy blueberry, lemon zest, crackery malt, grassy hops, vanilla, toasted grain, and light watermelon
For as subtle as the nose was, it is much more so in taste. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting watermelon, bready malt, lemon zest, juicy strawberry, grassy hops, light honey, and raw grain. The swallow brings notes of juicy strawberry, crackery malt, honey, raw grain, watermelon, light cantaloupe, and white pepper
A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a smooth and crisp beer. Finishes bone dry and refreshing with a balanced bitterness
The low ratings perplex me on this one. It’s not exactly your standard Pale Ale, but it’s great for what it is. I’m glad I grabbed 2 cans from Tavour and will gladly get it again

Golden yellow body, clear but with a dash of haziness; dense, slow-rising carbonation; big head, dense and creamy, rocky and sculpted. A fantastic bouquet of fresh picked berries; raspberry, sweet apple, and honey dew melon. Light, delicate taste; mild malt base with a bare touch of bitterness; thin yet enjoyable fruity esters. Medium body; lightly velvety.
The taste doesn't quite match up with the fantastic looks and aroma, but is still quite enjoyable and makes for a fine thirst quencher.

ripped through a bunch of these pint cans in the last few weeks, i really like this one. its light and easy drinking, and its both original and complex in terms of the hop profile. it also doesnt push the ipa realm like so many of these are doing these days, a modern pale ale through and through, really well done. i like how light the grain is here, just enough structure for the hops but its easy down, dry, and short, without much flavor interference and no encroachment on that overbalanced range, which drives me nuts. the hops hit fruity, berry specifically, more so than even seems possible, strawberry for sure, maybe a little apricot and watermelon summer fruit vibe too, but its raspberry and strawberry and even currant that all leap out of this in aroma and flavor, i also get trace vanilla and coconut, even though this is dry and not really tropical in the now conventional sense. a little lemon and herb layer as it warms, very light on the bitterness the whole way, and drinks so crisp and clean on the ferment that it could almost be mistaken for a hoppy lager. i love how fruity this is but how unique, not really citrus happening at all, and the high carbonation makes it refreshing for something this hop driven, its also not oily at all like super hoppy beers often are, this is way clean on the palate. id love to know what the hops are, things like barbe rouge, strata, and cashmere come to mind, but nothing pops out as obvious. a great recipe and super professional execution, one of my favorite pfriem beers in recent memory, need more asap!

Draft at MIGFest. Pale golden pour, filmy white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, mild sweetness. Taste is piney, sweet, orange peel, malty. Not jelly like I would have thought.

Tastes and smells exactly like none of the flavors they’ve listed, I feel like they pulled the types of fruit out of a hat for their description. Not terrible tasting, but definitely not as described.

500ml bottle served in a big snifter. Dated 07/09/20. No recollection of where I got it.
Pours clear golden with a small head. Smell is fruity with a little old hay. Not going to knock the old hay much because I should have drank this about six weeks ago.
Taste is fruity and bitter. I get some of the old hay, but again, I blame myself for leaving it in my fridge way too long.
Mouthfeel is light, dry, and really effervescent. Overall, pretty good -- and probably would be pretty darn good if it was fresher. And I appreciate the fact that they put the bottled on date on here.

Look: Slightly cloudy light orange and my vigorous pour yields a booming head that pillows up nicely
Aroma: Citrus fruits, tropical fruit, dank, strawberries, blueberries, sweet bready malt notes, and candied fruit
Taste: Orange-led citrus, dank, and tropical fruit notes hit first followed by sweet malt notes along with almost a candied or sugar-laden fruit salad with tons of berry notes. Finishes with a slight bite and more sugary berries
Mouthfeel: Smooth, full bodied, medium-high carbonation, and very lightly dry on the finish
Overall: Tasty stuff here. Another good offering from a well-respected brewer and I was slightly surprised by how many and the depth of berry notes in this though I also thought orange and dankness were quite prominent. A tasty APA and if berry and dank hop profiles are your thing, give this one a go

Taste is bold fruits with some dankness and pine and the bready pale malt.
Mouthfeel is light to medium with good strong carbonation. Finish is bitter/ sweet and mildly dry.
A very pleasant Pale Ale. Bottled on 06/19/20.

1 month old bottle into a pint glass. Great head, 1 finger, pure white and great soapy lacing and a established crown. Jammy nose notes, berries, sweet floral nectar, hoppy florals, maybe some pale malt hidden somewhere. The flavor is bitter up front, easing into fruity jam hops, berries, and a nice sweet nectar finish that lingers with some pale malt and cracker. This IPA finishes dry, snappy, and tart for me.
Great jammy IPA from pFriem, although it is more bitter than I expected.

Look is pale straw yellow with a tall, billowing, thick white head. The head has good retention, taking its time dropping while leaving plenty of lacing down the side of the glass.
Aroma is strong; evident as soon as you pop the cap and start to pour. Lemony grapefruit citrus, a little pine, berries.
Taste starts out like the aroma: citrus, a litte pine. The berries assert themselves in the middle. The finish is piney and mildly bitter. This beer has a few months on it as I am tasting, so take that into account ("Bottled on" on the label is blank, but this is a summer seasonal that I picked up in September on a trip to the west coast, and am drinking it in October). The taste is not as fruity as I was expecting, it is more toward a traditional APA. But a quite well done APA.
The bitterness lingers into the aftertaste.
The feel is smooth with moderate to thin body. Appropriate carbonation.
Overall, a very nice, refreshing APA.

Two 17oz bottles picked up at Total Wine in Lynnwood, Washington. Date on the bottle is 7/10/19. Served in a pint glass.
Look- Hazy, golden hay color, solid bright white head that shortly recedes leaving
a little bit of lacing on the glass. Carbonation is slightly active in the glass as it sits.
Smell- There's definitely a marionberry/blackberry smell.
Blueberries and candied strawberries. There's also a sweet Myers lemon scent going on here too with a
dank herbal finish.
Taste- In the beginning the flavor starts out a lot more hoppy and piney, dank, bitterness is fairly heavy.
As it warms though the fruit flavors become a good bit more prevalent, especially the Myers lemon/citrus that is in the background in the smell.
Feel- Medium bodied and a little gritty. More of a sipping beer rather than a session.
O- A pretty solid offering from pFriem. Not their best but it's worth giving a try.
