500ml draft
Pours two fingers of white head into a Maßkrug. Retention is average. Lacing is nice enough. Body is dark gold, high clarity, with a low nucleation. Looks decent.
Nose is slightly bready, with a very floral hop character that mellows over time. Smells nice and inviting.
Flavor is rich, bready, candied malt, hops are really subtle. Kinda underwhelming, but tastes good.
Carbonation is modest. Body is medium-high, with a chewiness to it. Certainly has a perceived sweetness, but it finishes well-attenuated. Bitterness is relatively low. Mouthfeel is accurate.
Very drinkable for nearly 8%
Overall this is to-style. Can’t expect anything crazy from such a traditional beer, but the flavor still leaves a little to be desired.

12oz pour at The Bine.
Clear, light gold, small head. Smell has slight doughiness, musty. Cut grass.
Taste is earthy bitterness, nutty/woody. More bready/doughiness.
Mouthfeel is dry and light. Pretty nice beer.
