Flowery nose and straw in the aroma. Very slight foam and just a prickle of carbonation on the tongue. Rather sweet with a complex variety of flavors. Tastes of the usual dried pear but enlivened with lavender, brioche bread, honey, and a long aftertaste of odd fruitiness. From the 375 ml corked bottle purchased at the Community Coop. Dated 07/28/23 so almost exactly a year old.

Clear yellow gold look. Profuse head. Smells mildly of mochi. Flavor is very mild. Some mugwort and bread yeast. Significant effervescence. Overall unremarkable because of the very mild flavor.

really tasty and fresh beer, but subtle on the botanical aspect that had me so curious to try this one, just drinks like a slightly herbal clean saison, very well made, and super refreshing on a hot day, a great start to vacation! golden colored, clear for the style, and with a nice belgian looking inch plus of puffy white head. subtle tea, noble hops, and dried flowers on the nose, a slightly constrained estery french type yeast strain on this, but not totally predictable either, even though its not bretty or anything, there are some rustic nuances, maybe a couple of strains working on this together, white wine and pear, less spice than many, maybe a tad less interesting than i was hoping for. subtle sage and lavender notes up front in the taste, fresh and hearty white wheat at the core of this, super clean overall, nice mineral profile, cut flowers, white pepper, a hint of cilantro after its gone to seed, very light citrus and green apple late and as it warms, just a dab of hop bitterness at the end, a dry finish where the yeast esters really come out, a jasmine thing, lemon, very pleasant and drinkable and more than just the classic french and belgian notes, although not funky at all either. great texture to this, excited carbonation and almost creamy from the wheat but still highly refined and very light overall, super tasty and drinkable. i a little bit wanted this to be bretty because they do that stuff so well, but this is delicious even without that. a little tame on the botanicals for me, this is made with cedar and there is perhaps some light woody depth, but this element is hard to find. the beer is uplifting on the whole and very good. pfriem rules.
