From the growler via JAFB brewery in a Wooster Ohio enjoyed in a snifter.
This fine dunkelweizen pours a nice murky red tinged brown with a nice head
of off white foam that settles to a thick ring, thin subtle pool, and showcases some nice light
lacing on the glass. Nose of lightly peppery dark breaded malts, light clove, moderate banana,
and sweet brown sugars. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with nice dark wheat malts and fresh
baked bread elements that mingle nicely with mild banana and subtle peppery hops and mild
and balanced clove notes with brown sugars mingling nicely with the wheat elements.
Nice mouth feel; medium carbonation, medium mouth feel; and a lightly sweet wheat malt finish
that is on par with most of the Germans.
VERY SOLID.
Cheers
