Had this on 2021-12-23 near Pittsburgh, PA from a fresh 16oz can
A - Partially clear dark ruby with a 1-finger tan head from an aggressive pour and very light lace
S - Graham cracker, cherry, dried apricot, ginger, nutmeg
T - Nutmeg, cinnamon, candied orange rind, ginger, roasted grain. Finishes dry, slightly-metallic and with a bitterness that is prominent over the residual sweetness.
M - Medium body and light-medium carbonation. Clean not cloying at all.
O - This wasn't the beer I expected from the label with the adjectives "Spiced, Warm, Sweet". It's a well-thought-out, quaffable ale that certainly imparts holiday flavors but without being overly-sweet or overly-spiced. I don't know why I'm getting a metallic flavor but it isn't too prominent. Perhaps it's the combination of roast and spices? Overall, drinking this was enjoyable.
