750 mL bottle. Deep amber. Small white head. Smells of acetone. Yikes. My glass is really wide and it makes my eyes burn a little. Tastes of acetone and vinegar. Sweet honey. Undrinkable. This is atrocious.

L: Brown, woody color.
S: Wooden notes that roll off the nose.
T: Soft, smooth grape notes with honey and then barrel notes at the end. Very soft
F: Very light notes of grape as the after taste.
O: This reminds me of a white wine and soft mead but better than the sum of it's parts.

Poured a 750ml bottle (bottled Oct 27, 2017) into a tulip glass at 51°F.
L: Pours a brownish-red color that is clear given enough light. Very thin, off-white head that is quickly limited to the sides of the glass.
S: Smells sweet with dark fruits like plum. Smells slightly boozy.
T: Grapes and dark fruit. Quite sour with noticeable flavor from the brandy barrels and honey. Flavors similar to Oud Bruin.
F: Medium body, soft, low carbonation. I would prefer more carbonation.
O: I like this more than the regular El Cuatro, but this has always been my least favorite out of their regular lineup (Sahalie, La Tache, etc.) and the Grand Cru version doesn't change that. It's slightly sweeter and more boozy than I would prefer, and I tend to enjoy it more in small amounts compared to drinking an entire 750ml bottle.
