Palate Contaminants: none
Medium carbonation, and it has an audible fizzing sound. Slightly yellow tinge to the head, no lacing. Medium-dark amber color, slightly opaque.
The smell has lots of fresh apple, and there's a sweet-and-sour thing going on with it to make it interesting. A touch of fresh cilantro is present, too. Very mild funk.
Funky, sweet cider taste. Not much more, so I have to evaluate the balance. Moderate astringency for a brew, as well as moderate-heavy sweetness. Both would be better dialed back, and more so for the astringency. Once I acclimate to it, there is a little bit of grape leaf, too.
I guess all the prickliness gets out during the pour because the remaining carbonation is at a pleasant level. Medium-light weight for the type. Alcohol gets shoved aside by the other flavors. Astringent and sour-sweet apple aftertaste. It's actually interesting to take a drink of water, it takes on a really pleasant flavor.
