The Orobas represents beers we ferment with equal parts barley and honey, honoring the early, mystical root of brewing. We combined our wort with raw honey in barrels and allowed the wild yeast in the honey to start fermentation. After 22 months we transferred the beer into pinot noir grape pomace from Domaine Drouhin in a couple of their barrels & bottled 7 months later. 100% naturally carbonated with honey and 100% Oregon. 622 bottles produced.

Very murky brown tinted orange with an off-white cap, not really a looker. The smell however is bold with grape must, honey, and oak, wild funk and mild botanicals linger. Taste adds a grapefruit zest note with a sour potency, but overall the palate remains artfully balanced and mild. Let this warm up and the oak will reward you with nuances that play with the grape especially. Feel is musty, wild, playfully sour, and very oaky with turning into extreme woodiness. Not as complex as some other AA offerings, but still refined and wonderful
