For the 16th anniversary of Brouwer’s Cafe, we collaborated with the North Fork brewery from Deming, WA to create 3 beers to celebrate Vern’s beer bar in Fremont, Seattle. Eric & Paul brewed spontaneous beers at each brewery with Mecca Grade malt and put Adonis berries in the coolship. After a year of barrel-aging we introduced Chardonnay lees from Domaine Drouhin. This is the unblinded Apothecary version utilizing Oregon Cascade hops from 2014. 100% naturally carbonated by bottle fermentation with wildflower honey. Thanks for everything, Vern! You wizard you.

375mL bottle (bottled 12/15/2020) into a tulip. Pours a clear golden color with minimal head that dissipates almost instantly, champagne-like. Lively carbonation rises from the bottom of the glass.
Aroma is tart and bright, lightly funky. Clean pale malt, wild yeast.
Taste is likewise lively and crisp, tart and vinous. Pale malt, Chardonnay, honey, oak.
Mouthfeel is light and refreshing, clean. Carbonation tickles the palate and finishes crisp and sharp.
Overall a really nice, straightforward oak aged beer, delicious and well crafted.
