Brewed with barley & rye malts plus raw wheat, all from Mecca Grade Estate Malt in Madras, OR. This beer had fresh ponderosa pine needles in the mash prior to spontaneous fermentation in a 600 liter puncheon we named Tanuki. Just before bottling we infused the beer with additional ponderosa pine. 100% naturally carbonated with wildflower honey, and 100% Oregon. The best celebrations are spontaneous!

Mostly clear orange body with a cream colored finger of foam, spotted lacing. This is AA at their best: smells of wild honey, big pine with wheat, flowers, rye, bright wood, with fruity orange, green apple, and lemon with mild wild funk. Taste is much the same, leans more into the fruit and less into the grain, but pine is still strong. Feel is smooth and cool, not much funk, pine or wood here, this is where I want more to match and even elevate the rest of the beer.
