Very thin brew for a Porter. Also very weak taste, non-discript best describes this one. Personally I do not think this brew was aged not long enough. Whetstone is in a great location; the food is good, beer selection is poor.

Stopped by the brewpub yesterday (15OCT14) with Alewife for lunch. Led off with a pint of porter on tap, at $4.95.
Served in a small nonic glass, it was jet black and opaque, topped with a thin, wispy layer of fine, beige foam. Lacing was pretty decent. Had a nice, roasty nose with some choco and coffee mixed together. It felt fairly smooth, but was somewhat thin in regards to body.
Taste had some subtle sweetness, but showcased the roasty, bitter choco and coffee aspects of the style. Had very little in the way of noticeable hopping, though. Nothing spectacular, but a decent session brew. Prosit!!
