Had lunch with Alewife yesterday (15OCT14) at the brewpub. My post-lunch brew was Mosaic, at $4.95 for 12oz, on tap.
Served in a small snifter, it was a dull, murky, flat golden color. Had a thin, fine, off-white head, along with nice lacing. The aroma was restrained, with some mild tropical fruit being detected. Body was medium, and it had little prickle, making for a decent passage over the tongue.
Flavor was fruity from the get-go. Had a mix of tropical fruit, like mango and pineapple along with some pear, green apple and a hint of tangerine. It was also a bit on the rindy, pithy side. Not bad, all-in-all. Prosit!!
