The appearance was a semi-muddy/milky brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Just a touch of stringy lace. The aroma had a soft roasted nutty to caramel/toffee malt up front and then an ample amount of maple syrup. The flavor copied the aroma fairly well using the maple syrup to sweeten just a touch more and then ride on into the aftertaste and follow through nicely on the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt good and maple syrup created a nice smoothness along my tongue. Overall, could be construed as an English brown ale but a nice Spring time beer nonetheless, would have again.
