On tap at the source.
Dark amber in color with moderate haze, thin off white head slowly recedes. Earthy spicy citrus against a bready caramel maltiness. Moderate astringency is distracting.

Pours a hazy gold with a modest head and good lacing. The aroma is very clean with citrusy, grassy hops and some earthy, bready malt. The flavor follows suit with a firm bitterness and some sweet citrus flavors. Very nice, clean malt flavor. Feel is crisp and dry. Overall a really good IPA, very balanced and drinkable.

Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a mostly dark brown color close to black. Some strings of lace gloss the sides of the glass after a little white cap of a foamy head died off within seconds. The aroma took on dark and roasty malts bold and up front with a sweet to bitter citrusy balanced piney upbringing. The flavor crisply leaned towards roast and bitterness subtly bringing in the citrus in slyly underneath. Sweetness is exceptionally low in this one. Well blended citrus/piney to roasty and bitter aftertaste punching the finish nicely. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. ABV felt good for what was projected, no alcohol burn. Roastiness is quaint along my tongue. Overall, very nicely done imperialized black IPA that I wouldn’t mind having again.
