Rye IPA with Rakau and Citra hops
A very cloudy, totally opaque light amber with golden highlights. A thick, dense and we'll retained, 3" high off-white clumpy foam tower slowly recedes with a bunch of lace leftover. Healthy look.
An absolutely awesome hop dominated aroma! Huge fruity mix, very dense citrus, tropical, pine forest and slightly earthy smell. The malt packs a punch to the nose as well, sweet caramel and slightly peppery rye malt make for am impressive nose overall.
It's funny because as fruity as the hop aroma is, it does not translate to the taste. The dry, earthy rye malt is in charge with light splashes of citrus and red fruit currents. A sharp, rye and hoppy bite feels very fresh and crisp. A rather full mouthfeel but also crisp. The Rye here is very bold, slightly bitter, earthy and dry effect. The Rye malt + Rakau + Citra = win.
