On tap at the brewery.
Surprisingly dark for a brown ale, nice head with good retention.
Well balanced nose of malt, caramel and stone fruit.
Flavor follows closely: malty, lightly fruity with a subtle roast that does not tip over into smoke. Hops are present but dominant.
A really nice, well balanced session ale. Good American brown ale is hard to find and this is worth tracking down.

Can from the source.
Dark brown with faint garnet on the edges and huge khaki head that lasts forever. Rich caramel and light bitter chocolate, hints of fruit and a light earthy hops to counter. Pretty nice for a brown ale.

Too much of a roasted taste upfront, that overwhelms, needs to be more subtle.
