Sampled at the brewery along with two slightly different batches, this first of three samples shone a golden yellow and a had a bright and fruity nose. Immediately sweet fruit and floral notes upon first interaction with taste buds. Later, where many similar beers turn hoppily bitter, this finished with honey and citrus. Versions two and three are more watery, and less pleasing in the finish than this batch of “third rail,” which electrifies the senses, making good on the promise of its name.
