12oz bottled on 11-6-18, 4 days old.
Beautiful beer with a 2" off white head on top of a clear, deep amber IPA. Incredible retention and thick foamy lace left behind.
Nose is full of pine and some grapefruit, big aromas of crystal / caramel malt mix in well. Smells like a fresh Sierra Nevada Celebration.
Piney hops and caramel malts, flavor follows suit with the aroma. Some ripe melon flavors are noticeable middle to late.
Medium bodied. Big, lingering hoppy bitterness. Almost tannic, a tongue scraper.
Interesting flavor combo when you throw that melon note in the finish...very unique. Another winner from Lakewood.
