Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a lighter level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is rather strong of a tropical fruit and citrus smell with the citrus being a mixture of a grapefruit hop and some sweeter tangerine and orange aromas as well. Along with these smells comes some lighter hints of a yeasty smell, a little bit of pine, and a hint of lemongrass.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice sweet tropical fruit taste mixed with a good showing of a grapefruit citrus hop. As the taste advances some of the bready flavors that were upfront fade with even more citrus hop and sweet citrus coming to the tongue. With a little bit of a pine and a light showing of a cracker and lemon taste, one is left with a very citrusy and sweet flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather average in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is average as well. For the robust citrus hop flavors mixed with the nice sweet fruit tastes the feel is quite fantastic and makes for one very flavorful and drinkable brew.
Overall – This beer rocks!! Tons of great flavor with tons of citrus of both a sweet and hoppy nature. A very tasty brew I must say!!
