i have also seen this one called simply raspberry blonde, i was really disappointed with it, sweet and cheap tasting on the fruit, kind of tired and lackluster in texture, and not executed to the level i have come to expect from these guys, but part of it may have been the dive type establishment where i had this on tap. no color at all from the raspberries, a golden shine, and it looks light enough, relatively frothy and thick headed in the glass, but it settles out fast after the pour. the nose is generic berry candy, fruit punch type flavors, a sweet almost corny grain base, and a confection sort of sweetness thats unappealing, no real balance to it, nothing really very interesting either, a little metallic as well. the flavor is cheap, almost shockingly so for these guys, and its just kind of gross. the berry doesnt taste natural at all, its not even really identifiable as raspberry as such, maybe like raspberry popsicle or something, but its not fresh fruit. the base beer doesnt have enough going on to hold my attention, the ferment seems almost incomplete, and overall this is soapy and artificial and weak. a shame because its obvious these guys are capable of so much more, but this is a miss, even on the cheap summery fruit beer level, it doesnt hit. they should probably cut this one from the lineup, unless they plan to totally overhaul it...
