Name: White Peach Wheat
Brewery: 406 Brewing Company
Location: Manhattan, MT
Style: American Wheat Pale Ale
ABV: 6%
Canned: 2025
Date: 04 June 2025
It is a new brewery; I have never heard of this beer or 406 Brewing. I am looking forward to seeing what else they offer. I am using a Wiezen glass and serving the beer at 44 degrees. The pour created a frothy, creamy, one-fingered, off-white head with above-average retention. The somewhat slow dissipation left bits of lacing on the glass. The color is pale amber with a deep golden hue, charting at SRM 10 and hazy. The appearance of the beer is slightly above average.
Nosing the glass, I smell wheat, peaches, fruity sweetness, bready, malty sweetness, floral, grassy, a skosh of banana, and lemon.
Peaches, wheat, and lemon dominate the beer's flavors. Sipping it again, I notice grass, morning dew, fruity sweetness, bready, malty, floral esters, and light tropical notes.
The mouthfeel is soft, and the finish is dry. The body is medium-low and has medium-plus carbonation.
Final Thought: I was unsure what this pale wheat beer was about. After sipping a glass, I will tell you this is a fantastic summer beer. The beer is not too heavy but light enough to enjoy camping, sitting by a fire at night in your backyard, or on a beach. I seriously discounted this beer's worth, and that was wrong; anybody who enjoys an easy summer sipper should try this one.
