Poured from a 12 oz can into a Duvel tulip. Canned on 02/21/18.
Ruby grapefruit hue with short-lived, white, 1/2 finger head with poor retention and scant spotty lacing. A lot of floaties.
Aroma is extremely fruity with pear and Golden Delicious apple meeting a mild herbal note. Maybe a slight cracker malt character but it is slight and most everything is overpowered by the fruit esters.
Flavor is lackluster and flat with mild herbal, slightly vegetal character up front with more pear and berry esters finishing with a minerally quality. Not much malt contribution as the fruity sweetness overwhelms most of the flavor. Low bitterness.
Feel is also flat with a little chalkiness with a low-dry finish and low-medium body.
Was worth a try but not my cup of tea with the high fruitiness and low malt and yeast contributions.
