Pint can with a label I couldn't possibly pass up. Now imply "Reuben's Grunge Crush", made with Grüngeist (actually Grün-Geist in German) hops, 6.0% ABV and 47 IBU. Served in a can glass. Milky yellow haze and ample white head. Fruity punch aroma with pineapple, citrus, and mango. Flavor has a pleasing bite to accompany the tropical fruit flavors. Thin mouthfeel from wheat and oats and a slightly bitter finish make this not as exciting to drink as to smell. Still a really good NE IPA with an outstanding hook of a label.

On tap at Bailey's Upper lip yesterday.
The beer pours the expected hazy golden amber color with fairly decent head retention and lacing. The nose on this beer is very impressive, as I pick up a massive amount of tropical fruit, with some underlying light pine, light citrus and light onion. In combination, this makes for a very attractive IPA aroma profile. On the palate, it's hard not to be a bit disappointed. The flavor profile generally replicates the nose, but the near complete lack of any bitterness on the finish makes this beer a bit dull and tiring on the finish. Mouthfeel is some and fairly full, with the alcohol very well integrated into the flavor profile. That being said, the lack of bitterness on the finish really hurts this beer's drinkability.
A very nice IPA, but given the outrageous nose, I was expecting something a bit more impressive. Still a very solid beer from the folks at Reuben's.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Given to me by a friend at work. No date on the can. Also no clear indication that I can see of which Crush it is -- I guessed Grunge Geist because it's on tap at Reuben's right now, according to their website.
Pours a very hazy light orange-yellow with a biggish coarse head that fades fast but leaves clumpy lacing and a frothy clump of islands. Smell is orange and mango and hop resin. Strong on the orange.
Taste is bitter and resinous with notes of flowers and citrus. Second sip gives me more orange and a little mango. Strong fruity flavors, with enough bitterness to keep me thirsty.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied, extremely dry -- drying the mouth out kind of dry. Overall, nice.

Well, I know for sure that this is Grunge Crush. The label doesn't say Grunge Crush Geist, though. I'm not sure what beer the review above was originally under. This one is dated 1/15/21. The description above holds pretty well, maybe the mango is less noticeable.
